Kick Boxing Chicken

I drew this while eating with some friends at a Thai restaurant out in Santa Monica. We were making fun of the names they had for the food on the menu.

Jazzy Jay

I just sketched up this guy while listening to some jazzy tunes. He's groovin to the beat. I am gonna had some color to him soon.

Papa Bois

This is a character named "Papa Bois" from one of the many folklore tales and legends of Trinidad and Tobago. I am thinking of creating an animated short based off of these interesting creatures of the forest.

We'll see how far this goes. Hopefully some day it will be completed.

Farmer's Market

I joined the sketch crawlers on an outing to the farmer's market. Lots of fun talking animation and drawing people sitting down. Cool beans.

I watched Dumbo the other night and the next day I was itching to draw elephants. This one was from and image on the web.

This is a caricature of Miss Teen USA from South Carolina. Notice the little hamster in her head running while she tries answering the question given to her. The video is pretty funny.

I am sure she is a nice person though.

A Girl At Little Tokyo

While walking around in Little Tokyo, I came across this young girl. She seem depressed and was dressed very Goth like as she walked with her friends. I kept a mental image of her in my head to draw at work. I hope she was ok.

Little Tokyo

Here are some sketches at little Tokyo this past weekend. It was a blast!!! We went for the sketch crawl event. Those sketch crawlers really know how to pick a great spot.

So here are some doodles I did a couple of weeks ago. Things have been quite busy lately after attending my first Comic-Con and Siggraph event. These wacky exhibitions really inspire me to get back to the drawing boards or keyboards and create something unique and interesting.

I saw this guy next to wild oats. He had a guitar in his hand and he was sing with a big smile on his face. His straw hat was the most interesting thing about him. I wish I had a hat like that.

New Stuff

So here are some new sketches. I've been practicing new ways to draw faces. It's good to experiment sometimes.

I just found out about this new pen to ink my sketches with. It's a Faber - Castell PITT Artist Pen. Its like a brush and sharpie all in one. It give my doodles that snazzy look. I definitely recommend it.

Small Doodle

So I just went to see Ratatouille and it was faaantastic. When i got home i just had the urge to sketch out this guy. He kinda looks like Linguini's distant half brother right? Naaaah.

LA ZOOOO

Alright!!! I just got a small handy new sketch book so i decided to christen it at the LA ZOO. It was a blast. All the animals were fun to look at. Especially that porcupine I drew above what looks like a kangaroo. He had the greatest walk I had ever seen from a creature.

I Don't Know!!!

One night just before my wife feel asleep, she asked me to draw a walrus having a birthday party....... At least that is what i think she said. He's a really really old walrus.
