Learning from Dean Yeagle

I have started to take some wise advice from a well known artist about learning how to draw from others. Eddie Pitman had a great post on his new blog about “Studying from Masters". It definitely opened my eyes to a different way of thinking. So I decided I would study from a true artist Dean Yeagle. I started studying how he drew girls and tried my best to follow his rhythm. The second one was a starting off point then I pointed out my mistakes and tried again. Not the best, but some progression.

Finally some characters in color!!!! I've been experimenting again with Photoshop and the cool wacom tool. This is a lot of fun. Wanna try working more on lighting and shading. Critiques are welcomed.

Practice

Lately I've been practicing drawing females. If there is one thing that is tough is drawing the female body.

Back in Black

Wow!!!! It took a while, but I am back in black. Just a few sketches done at work or during D.A.S.
(Dead Animators Society). I think its time to start putting color on these white characters.
